Does it hurt to have an EMG done?
Dr. Helman has been performing EMG testing for over 20 years and he is very gentle. Most patients would say it doesn’t hurt much, they are very small needles.
How long will my EMG test take?
This test last 20-40 minutes
Will my Insurance cover this test?
Please contact our billing department, every insurance is different.
How late in the day or morning do you take appointments?
Our office opens at 9am but we take in patients as early as 7:30am. We close at 4:00pm but we have late appointments depending on the day.
Do you take my Insurance?
We take most insurances, however you should contact your insurance to see if our facility is contracted with your insurance carrier.
Where is your office located?
We currently offer two locations to serve you, one in Monterey and one in Salinas.
How do I obtain a copy of my medical Records? And is there a charge?
Please fill out a Medical Records Release form that is located on the patient portal. Once we receive the filled out form along with a $25 charge we will copy your records and mail them to you or you can pick them up in the Salinas office.
